Removal and Installation






Front Wheel Drive (FWD)

Shock Absorber

Adaptive chassis DCC shock absorber, removing and installing, refer to => [ Shock Absorber, FWD ] Shock Absorber, FWD.

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Torque wrench (V.A.G 1332)

Removing

- Remove wheel.

- Remove wheel housing liner.

- Remove coil spring. Refer to => [ Coil Spring ]. Coil Spring

- Remove bolts - arrows -.





- Remove bolt - arrow -.





- Remove shock absorber.

Installing

Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal. Observe the following when doing so:

The bolted connections of the shock absorber to the wheel bearing housing must only be fastened when the dimension - a - is achieved! => [ Measure Dimension ] Front Wheel Drive (FWD).

- Insert shock absorber and tighten bolts - arrows -.





- Tighten bolt - arrow -.





- Install coil spring. Refer to => [ Coil Spring ]. Coil Spring

- Install wheel housing liner.

- Install wheel and tighten. Refer to => [ Tightening Specification for Mounting Wheels ] Tightening Specification For Mounting Wheels.

Tightening Specifications
