Headlamps

HID Headlamp Power Output Stages

• Illustrations depict replacement of headlamp power output stage at right headlamp.

• Replacement of Left Headlamp Power Output Stage (J667) and of Right Headlamp Power Output Stage (J668) is identical.

• Be careful not to mix up the old headlamp housing through part index 3C0 941 753 K or 754 with the power output stage 7L6 941 329 A.

• Be careful not to mix up the new headlamp housing from part index 3C0 941 753 K or 754 K with power output stage 7L6 941 329 or 330.

• Interchanging the parts during installation will result in an incorrect diagnosis when performing Fault Finding

Removing:

- Switch ignition and all electrical consumers off and disengage the key or ignition switch in position 0 (ignition off).

- Remove headlamp, refer to => [ Headlamps ]. Headlamps

- Remove mounting bolts - arrows - of headlamp power output stage - 1 -.





- Disengage the harness connectors - arrows - and disconnect the connectors.





- Detach headlamp power output stage from headlamp.

Installing:

Install in reverse order of removal, noting the following:

• When installing covers and headlamp power output stage, ensure seals are seated correctly. It is destroyed by entry of water into headlamp.

• After installing a new headlamp power output stage, Headlamp Range/Cornering Lamp Control Module (J745) must be coded. Refer to => [ Headlamp Range/Cornering Lamp Control Module, Coding ] HID Headlamps and then basic headlamp setting.

- Check headlamp for function.

- Check headlamp adjustment and adjust headlamp if necessary.
