Removing





- Remove the rear lid trim panel.

- Be sure to perform the work procedures if the vehicle has a rearview camera.

- Disconnect connector - 3 - at grip piece connection - 2 -.

- Remove hex nut - 4 - from grip piece threaded screws and remove grip piece - 1 - from rear lid.

The rear lid can be opened using the emergency release in the lock if there is an electrical malfunction. The emergency release is reached through an opening in the rear lid trim panel.

Installation





- Install grip piece - 1 - in rear lid and install hex nut - 4 - on grip piece threaded screws: tightening specification 8 Nm.

- Secure connector - 3 - at grip piece connection - 2 -.

Removing





- Remove the rear lid trim panel.

- Remove the nuts - 5 - from the threaded pins and remove the cover - 6 - from the rear lid.

- Remove the nuts - 4 - from the threaded pins for the button and remove the cap - 3 -.

- Disconnect the connector - 7 -.

- Remove the button - 1 - from the rear lid.

The rear lid can be opened using the emergency release in the lock if there is an electrical malfunction. The emergency release is reached through an opening in the rear lid trim panel.

Installation





- Make sure the license plate lamps - 2 - are installed correctly and connected.

- Connect the connector - 7 - to the button.

- Install the button - 1 - inside the rear lid and install the cap - 3 -.

- Tighten the nuts - 4 - on the threaded pins to 8 Nm.

- Mount the cover - 6 - on the rear lid and tighten the nuts - 5 - to * Nm.
