Footwell Lights

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Trim removal wedge (VAS 3409)

When removing and installing components in a visible area (switches, covers, trim, etc.), mask off the areas at which a prying tool ( trim removal wedge (VAS 3409), screwdriver) will be positioned, using commercially available adhesive tape.

Removal and installation for both footwell lights is performed in the same way and is only described for one light.

Removing

- Turn off the ignition and all electrical consumers.

- Pry out footwell light from trim underneath instrument cluster using trim removal wedge (VAS 3409) or a screwdriver.





- Disconnect electrical connection - arrow -.





Bulb, replacing:

- Disengage retaining tabs - 1 - and remove heat shield - 2 - from diffusion lens of light.





- Carefully pry bulb from socket.





- Replace bulb (12V, 5 W).

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal.
