Fastener Tightening Specifications





• 1 Always replace

• 2 Tighten the bolts working from the inside toward the outside in several stages

Cylinder Head Cover Bolt Tightening Sequence and Specification





- Tighten the bolts in the sequence shown to 10 Nm.

Cylinder Head Bolt Tightening Sequence and Specification





- Install the cylinder head bolts and tighten them hand tight.

- Tighten the cylinder head bolts - 1 through 12 - in the sequence shown as follows:





- Then tighten bolts - 13 - to 10 Nm.

Intake manifold to cylinder head 9 Nm
Intake manifold support to intake manifold, engine codes BGP and BGQ 20 Nm
Intake manifold support to intake manifold, engine codes CBTA and CBUA 16 Nm
Intake manifold support to cylinder block 25 Nm

1 Gasket

• Replace

2 25 Nm

• Replace

3 Exhaust Manifold

• Coat stud bolts on cylinder head with hot bolt paste

• Remove upward

4 Clip

5 Heat shield

6 10 Nm

7 Oxygen sensor (G39)

• 55 Nm

• Use ring spanner set for oxygen sensor (3337) for removal and installation

• When using an oxygen sensor once again, only use hot bolt paste to grease the thread. Do not let the paste get onto the slits of the oxygen sensor body

• Color of harness connector: Black
