Customer may comment that their I Pod(R) will not fit in the factory installed I Pod(R) kit.
The following I Pods(R) are included but not limited too:
^ Mini
^ Nano
^ Nano 2
Technical Background
Factory installed IPod(R) adaptor only works for IPod(R).
IPod(R) Mini, Nano and Nano2 require different adaptors which are now available for customer purchase in kit form.
Production Solution
No Production change required.
Service
With factory adaptor kit -figure -1-, an adaptor kit is now available for
customer purchase.
This kit includes 3 snap in and removable adaptors to suit the customers various needs.
^ I Pod(R) adaptor in center console, as seen from right seat: inserting I Pod(R).
With factory adaptor kit -figure -2-, an adaptor kit is now available for
customer purchase.
This kit includes 3 snap in and removable adaptors to suit the
customers various needs.
^ I Pod(R) adaptor in glove box , inserting Pod(R).
The new I Pod(R) kit Part No: 1K0868003B 9B9 contains three snap in and removable adaptors - figure 3-:
^ DO NOT modify any I Pod(R) kit.
Install correct adaptor ONLY.
