Engine bracket and left/right engine mounts, removing and installing

Part II:





1 - Oil dipstick
^ Oil level must not be above the max. mark!

2 - Guide tube
^ For oil dipstick
^ Secured by a bolt to intake manifold

3 - 6 Nm
^ Fastened to intake manifold

4 - Cylinder block
5 - Oil check valve
^ Note installation position
^ Clean if badly soiled

6 - Knock Sensor (KS) 1 G61
^ Component location: Between cyl. 1 and cyl. 3

7 - 20 Nm
^ Torque setting influences function of knock sensor

8 - 8 Nm
^ Replace

9 - Chain sprocket
10 - 60 Nm plus an additional 1/4 turn (90°)
^ Only use bolts with strength category 10.9
^ Replace

11 - Oil pump
12 - Seal
^ Replace
^ Oil before assembling

13 - O-ring
^ Replace

14 - Gasket
^ Replace

15 - Flange
^ Note installation position

16 - Oil pressure line
17 - Oil drain plug, 30 Nm
^ With permanent sealing ring
^ Replace

18 - Oil pan
19 - 10 Nm
20 - Oil Level Thermal Sensor G266
21 - 12 Nm
22 - Suction line
^ For oil pump

23 - Engine speed (RPM) sensor G28
24- 10 Nm
25 - Oil filter housing/left engine bracket

28 - Knock Sensor (KS) 2 G66
^ Component location: Between cyl. 4 and cyl. 6

29 - Fitting bolt, 25 Nm
30 - Compact bracket
31 - Vibration damper
32 - 100 Nm plus an additional 1/2 turn (180°)
^ Replace
^ Use counter-holder tool T10069 for loosening and tightening
^ Tighten using torque wrench V.A.G 1601





To loosen and tighten securing bolt, lock vibration damper using counter-holder tool T10069

Note:
^ Vibration damper securing bolt must be replaced.
^ Tighten securing bolt using torque wrench V.A.G 1601.
