Securing Engine to Engine and Transmission Holder

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Engine and transmission holder (VAS 6095)

Procedure

- Remove transmission.

To separate the engine and transmission, refer to --> Operating instructions forscissor-type assembly platform (6131).

- After separating the engine from transmission, secure the torque converter to prevent it from falling out.

- Attach the lifting tackle (3033) as follows and lift the engine using the shop crane (VAS 6100) from the scissor lift table (6131).





Vibration damper side: Position 3.

Flywheel side: Position 11

Threaded spindles are set in length according to necessity.

- Secure engine to engine and transmission holder (VAS 6095) as depicted.





If engine support (3269) is used:

- Bolt the engine support (3269) to cylinder block as shown.
