Components, Checking And Adjusting With VAS 5051/5052 Vehicle Diagnostic Testing And Information System

- Connect VAS 5051/5052 to vehicle Data Link Connector (DLC)
- Select operating mode "Guided Fault Finding"
- Enter appropriate model, equipment and model year information and press ">" to confirm.

After all control modules have been registered and DTC memories checked,
- Press "Go to"
- Select "Function/Component Selection"
- Select "Body"
- Select "Heating, ventilation, air conditioning"
- Select "Systems capable of self-diagnosis"
- Select "Climatronic"
- Review the following information information on the program procedures displayed. Choose desired program procedure and press ">" to confirm.
- Follow tester prompts to perform desired program.

"Basic setting"
Basic setting of A/C system must be performed after the climatronic control module was replaced, an adjustment motor was replaced or an existing climatronic control module was recoded.

- Select "Functions"
- Select "Basic settings of climate system"

"Basic setting in case of service"
This basic setting procedure must be performed before the removal/replacement of any adjustment motors. During the procedure, all motors are automatically moved to a predetermined "service" position.

"Coding Control module for climatronic"
This program must be performed after the climatronic control module was replaced or an existing climatronic control module requires recoding.

- Select "Functions"
- Select "Coding Control module for climatronic".
