NOTE: Auxiliary engine coolant heater, removing and installing







1 - Glow Plug (with flame monitoring) Q8
2 - Seal
- Always replace after dismantling
3 - Rubber grommet
4 - Combustion Air Blower V6
5 - Screw
6 - Retaining clip
- for Glow Plug (with flame monitoring) Q8
- Retaining clip changed from 02.2003 Observe installed position

NOTE: A retaining dip turned 180� will result in malfunction.

7 - Retaining clip
- for Glow Plug (with flame monitoring) Q8
8 - Clip
- Observe installed position
9 - Combustion chamber with flame tube
- Clean inside and outside with brass wire brush (spark plug brush)
10 - Seal
- Always replace after dismantling
11 - Water jacket
- Clean inside and outside with brass wire brush (spark plug brush)
- Do not dismantle further
12 - Cover
- For connector strip
- Connector strip designations.
