Radio Remote Control Operation

Radio Remote Control Operation

NOTE:
- Auxiliary engine coolant heaters on USA/CDN market Touareg with V10 TDI-PD engines are NOT equipped with programmable timer or radio remote control functions (information at time of publication).
- The following information applies to applicable markets only.
- Where applicable, the auxiliary engine coolant heater can be switched on and off from a distance of up to 600 meters (open space) using the remote control. In built-up areas or from buildings, this range is restricted.
- The remote control should be held upright when operating the buttons (the radio signals can be received optimally by the vehicle aerial in this way and the greatest transmission range is achieved).
- In the event the battery is disconnected, the radio remote control must be adapted. Select OBD program "Guided Functions" and select "Adapting Tele start".

The operating period of the auxiliary coolant heater is determined by the remote control unit when the heater is switched on (a time component is included in the switching signal). This time component is stored permanently in the remote control and cannot be changed.

- Allocation of the remote control to the auxiliary coolant heater remains intact, re-adaptation is not necessary.

- Remove battery cover - 4 - and remove batteries. Insert new batteries and replace cover.
