Tension Struts

Removing

- Identify location of tension struts - 1 - to body and to subframe.






- Put the vehicle on its wheels.

• Tension strut screws to subframe should only be loosened when vehicle is resting on wheels.

- Loosen bolts - 2 - on subframe.

- Raise the vehicle.

- Remove bolts - 2 - and - 3 -.

- Remove tension struts - 1 - separately one after another from vehicle.

Installing

- Place tension struts on markings on body and subframe.






- Install new bolts - 2 - and - 3 - only far enough so that tension struts and subframe still do not touch.

- Tighten the bolts - 3 - to tightening specification.

- Put the vehicle on its wheels.

• Tension strut screws to subframe should only be tightened when vehicle is resting on wheels.

- Tighten the bolts - 2 - to tightening specification.
