Fuel Pressure Sensor/Switch: Service and Repair

Fuel Pressure Sensor

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required
- Assembly tool T10118
- Socket wrench insert 27 mm VAS 5301/7


Removing

CAUTION: Fuel system is under pressure. Fuel pressure must be reduced to a residual pressure before opening high pressure area of injection system.

GTI
- Remove the charge air pipe leading to the sound amplifier.







- Remove the upper bracket on the generator (GEN) C - arrow -.







Continuation for All
- Loosen the coolant pipe - arrows - from the intake manifold.







- Disengage connector from fuel pressure sensor G247 using assembly tool T10118.
- Remove fuel pressure sensor G247 using socket wrench insert 27 mm VAS 5301/7.
- Collect draining fuel with a cloth.

Installing
Installation is performed in reverse order of removal, noting the following:

Coat the fuel pressure sensor G247 sealing point with clean engine oil.
- Tightening specifications.
