General Description

The Eos has a fourth-generation immobilizer with an online connection via the GeKo-VW system.

Modifications from Immobilizer 3:

• It is no longer possible to perform adaptation on components originating from other Volkswagen Group brand vehicles.

• The ignition keys are pre-coded by the manufacturer with a base code and are pre-programmed with vehicle-specific data before delivery to the workshop so that they can only be used on the vehicle for which they were ordered.

DTC Recognition and Display

The immobilizer is equipped with On Board Diagnostic (OBD) capabilities which aids in troubleshooting.

For troubleshooting, use Vehicle Diagnostic, Testing and Information System (VAS 5051A) in operating mode "Guided Fault Finding".
