Hood Switch / Sensor: Service and Repair

Front Hood Switch (F266)

Removal

- Switch off ignition, switch off all electrical consumers and remove ignition key.

- Remove radiator grille.

- Disconnect harness connector in the vicinity of the right headlamp - arrow -.






- Unclip connector - 1 - in - direction of arrow - from lock carrier.






- Remove the mounting bolts - 2 - (12 Nm) and unclip wiring harness at mounting points - 3 -.

- Remove lid lock from lock carrier.

• Bowden cable may remain connected to the lid lock.

- Disengage retaining tab - 1 - and slide Front Hood Switch in - direction of arrow -.






- Remove contact switch from lid lock.

Installation

Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal.
