Brake Light Switch: Service and Repair

Brake Lamp Switch, from 10.05.2005

On vehicles before calendar week 45/05, brake light switch was located on brake pedal.

Removing

- Remove engine cover.

- On some vehicles, intake hose must be removed.

- Disconnect the connector - 1 - from brake lamp switch (F).






- Remove bolt - 2 - from brake master cylinder.

- Pull the brake lamp switch - 3 - downward and off from the brake master cylinder and remove it from the retaining tab at the top - 4 -.

Installing

- Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal.
