Hydraulic Cylinder in Main Hinge


Proceed with caution when reusing hydraulic cylinder.

Spring clips should not be bent too much, otherwise they will be damaged.

The hydraulic cylinder can jump out of the mounts and injure the operator.

Hydraulic system is sensitive to any ingress of dirt.

Cover the components as soon as the system is opened to prevent contaminants from entering.

Gaskets must be replaced.






- Remove luggage compartment side trim.

- Open bypass screw on hydraulic pump.

- Raise clips - 4 - far enough so they can slide over mounting pins - 3 - in - direction of arrow a -.

- Remove mounting pins - 3 - from main hinge - 2 - and hydraulic cylinder - 1 - in - direction of arrow b -.

- Remove hydraulic cylinder - 1 - from main hinge - 2 -.

- Remove hydraulic line from hydraulic cylinder and secure. Refer to => [ Hydraulic Line on Hydraulic Cylinder ] Hydraulic Line on Hydraulic Cylinder.
