Perform additional sealing measures again on rear corners and contact surface of seal - 3, 4 and 5 -.

- Use a butyl cord (D 450 273 A2).

- Clean seal contact surfaces - 1 - on roof pillar - 2 -.

- Apply the butyl sealing cord carefully press it flat around the corners - 3 and 5 - and on the surface - 4 -.

- Seal off the front end of the seal - 6 - with butyl sealing cord (D 450 273 A2).






- For easier installation, coat seal - 1 - with soapy water. Do not apply soapy water to areas bonded with sealing cord.

- Install the seal onto the sheet metal flange from the rear. The seal must be guided under the roof center section.

- Press the outer seat into the securing strip - 4 - starting from the rear and working toward the center.

- Press the inner seal - 2 - on the roof pillar starting from the rear and working toward the center.

- Press the tip of the front seal into the roof pillar.

- Secure the inner seal into the roof pillar.

- Secure the outer seal into the roof pillar.

- Press the seal one more time on the rear sheet metal flange.






- Tighten the screw - 3 -, tightening specification: 9.5 Nm.

- Apply a thin ring to water drain pipe with 1K Adhesive (D 469 101 A3). Adhesive must not enter the pipe.

- Slide water drain hose onto water drain pipe and secure cable ties.
