Power Seat Pan

The following describes removing and installing the lower seat frame on a left front seat. Removal and installation of the right seat pan is performed in the same way.

Removing

- Mount the fixture for seat repair (VAS 6136) on the engine and transmission holder (VAS 6095).

- Remove front seat. Refer to => [ Front Seat ] Front Seat

- Attach the seat to the fixture for seat repair (VAS 6136).

- Remove the trim from on the tunnel side from the seat. Refer to => [ Seat Trim, Tunnel-Side ] Seat Trim, Tunnel-Side

- Remove the trim on the sill-side from the power seat. Refer to => [ Power Seat Sill-Side Trim ] Power Seat Sill-Side Trim

- Remove retainer and power seat bracket. Refer to => [ Bracket and Support, Power Seat ] Bracket and Support, Power Seat

- Remove seat drawer mount. Refer to => [ Seat Drawer Mount ] Seat Drawer Mount

- Remove front seat backrest. Refer to => [ Left Front Seat Backrest ] Left Front Seat Backrest

- Remove cover and cushion from front seat backrests. Refer to => [ Front Seat Pan Covers and Upholstery ] Front Seat Pan Covers and Upholstery

- Remove screws - 1 - and - 2 - on right side.

- Remove screw - 3 - in rear area.

• Screw - 3 - in installation position points from inside toward outside.

- Remove screw - 4 - in front area.

- Remove seat pan - 5 - from longitudinal adjuster - 6 -.






Installation

- Install in reverse order of removal.

If the present seat pan is replaced, new part is a "Sportline" seat pan. If this seat pan in installed in a vehicle with a different equipment type, bracket - 1 - and - 2 - must be removed.

To avoid contamination, seat tracks - 3 - and - 4 - must be covered with a cloth when removing brackets - 1 - and - 2 -.
