Radiator Cooling Fan: Service and Repair

Fan Shroud and Fans

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Torque Wrench (5-50 Nm) (V.A.G 1331)

Removing

- Remove the noise insulation.

- Unclip coolant hose from fan shroud.

- Remove the air duct from the air filter. Refer to => [ Air Filter Housing Overview ] Service and Repair.

- Disconnect harness connector - 1 - and unscrew mounting bolts of fan shroud bolts - arrows -.






- Remove the fan shroud with fans.

- Disconnect the harness connector - 1 - and lay the wires aside.






- Remove the nuts - arrows - and remove the fans.

Installing

Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal, noting the following:

Tightening specifications:
