Rear Lid Tail Lamps

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Torque Wrench (V.A.G 1783)

Removal

- Switch off ignition, switch off all electrical consumers and remove ignition key.

- Remove rear lid trim.

- Disengage connector - 2 - and disconnect it from lamp carrier.






- Remove the nuts - arrows 1 -.

- Remove tail lamp from rear lid.

Installation

Install in reverse order of removal, noting the following:

- Tighten nuts - arrows 1 - to 3 Nm.






Tightening specifications, refer to => [ Tail Lamps In Rear Lid, Tightening Specifications ] Tail Lamps In Rear Lid, Tightening Specifications.

- Insert connector into lamp carrier until it engages audibly.

- Check the gap dimension to the body after installing the tail lamp assembly.
