Ignition Coils with Power Output Stages
Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required
• Assembly Tool (T10118)
• Puller for Ignition Coil (T10095 A)
• Lubricating Paste (G 052 141 A2)
Removing
- Unclip the connector strip cover.
- Place the (T10118) against the release button - arrow -, and carefully remove the connector from the respective ignition coil with power output stage.
- From the straight side of the connector, push the (T10095 A) on in the direction of - arrow -, and pull out the ignition coil with power output stage.
Installing
• The ignition coils with power output stages must be greased with lubricating paste (G 052 141 A2) to install new spark plugs. This prevents the sealing hose on the ignition coil from sticking on the spark plug. The lubricating paste must spread onto the spark pug when installing the ignition coil.
• New ignition coils with power output stages are already greased when delivered.
- Apply a thin bead of lubricating paste (G 052 141 A2) around the ignition coil sealing hose - arrow -. The bead must be 1 to 2 mm thick.
- To install, insert the ignition coil with power output stage into corresponding spark plug shaft so that the straight connector sides fit with each other - arrows -.
- Slide on the (T10095 A) from the straight connector side in the direction of the - arrow - and press the ignition coil with power output stage on to spark plugs.
