General Description

When the headlamps are switched on, the washer system will wash them every fifth time the windshield wipers are used when the washer lever is pulled toward the steering wheel for at least 1.5 seconds.

The active time of headlamp cleaning system can be adjusted variably between 0 seconds and 12.75 seconds. Refer to => [ Headlamp Washer System, Adapting ] Testing and Inspection.

After assembly work or when first operating headlamp cleaning system, it must be ventilated to ensure proper function of lift cylinders and spray nozzles. Refer to => [ Headlamp Washer System, Bleeding ] Headlamp Washer System, Bleeding.

DTC Recognition and Display

Vehicle Electrical System Control Module (J519) is equipped with On Board Diagnostics (OBD) which assists troubleshooting.

Use the Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing and Information System (VAS 5051A) under "Guided Fault Finding".
