CSC Roof Safety Precautions

The five-part CSC roof combines the characteristics of a coupe, sunroof and convertible roof.

The Eos CSC roof is a very complex roof that has never existed before in this form. Therefore, there are basic instructions to follow during all repairs on the CSC roof.

• Work on the CSC roof should only be performed by trained personnel who have participated in the qualification courses.

• When working on CSC roof, battery charger must always be connected.

• For all work on the CSC roof, vehicle must be resting on the wheels, which are on the ground.

• When repairing the CSC roof, only one outside component may be removed at a time. Before removing a second outside component, the previous one must always first be reinstalled and adjusted.

• If the CSC roof is in a repair position, it should always be secured with the proper supports and the ignition should be switched off.

• If the CSC roof is being driven or is in a repair position, force must not be applied to the roof pillar.

• With the ignition switched on, valves in the hydraulic system maintain the pressure only for a certain period of time. After a warning tone, the valves open and the roof lowers in stages. If the ignition is switched off, the valves open and the roof immediately lowers in stages.

• All screws on CSC roof are microencapsulated and should always be replaced.


When operating the roof or when lowering after the valves in the hydraulic system have opened, it is not possible to hold the roof by hand.
