Battery, Charging

When charging, both 6 volt batteries should be handled like a 12 volt unit.

Charging may only be done with two 6 volt batteries connected in series.

Charging must take place with voltage limited to a maximum of 14.4 volts.

Never charge 6 volt modules individually.

In order to charge when removed, use a connecting line between the battery modules.

When connected in series, the positive pole of one battery is connected with the negative pole of the other. The voltage of the individual batteries is added together but the capacity remains the same.

- Connect charger to left starter battery positive pole - 1 - and right starter battery negative pole - 5 - as shown.

1 Left starter battery positive pole
2 Left starter battery negative terminal
3 Connecting wire
4 Right starter battery positive pole
5 Right starter battery negative pole

- Charge the battery using for example the Battery charger (VAS 5903).
