• The sealing foam band (D 542 025 A2) is destroyed when the rear window is cut out and must be replaced.

• The sealing foam band reduces noise, so it must make contact with all adjacent components and seals.






- Bond the sealing foam band (D 542 025 A2) - 3 - 35 mm - dimension a - to the left and right along the edge of the rear window opening - 1 -.

- Then bond it at the angle shown to the adhesive bead - 2 -.

- Check the location of the sealing foam band to the roof pillar seals and roof center section seals. There must not be a visible gap.
