Sealing Flange Overview





1 Bolt

• 90 Nm + 90° (1/4) additional turn.

2 Crankshaft Toothed Belt Gear

3 Bolt

• 15 Nm

4 Seal

• Do not additionally oil or grease the sealing lip of the seal.

• Replacing, refer to => [ Seal, Belt Pulley Side ] Service and Repair.

5 Sealing Flange, Belt Pulley Side

• Must be located on the alignment pins.

• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Sealing Flange, Belt Pulley Side ] Sealing Flange, Belt Pulley Side.

• To remove and install, remove the oil pan.

6 Cylinder Block

• Oil pump with differential shaft gear, removing and installing => [ Oil Pump with Balance Shaft Drive ] Oil Pump with Balance Shaft Drive.

• Crankshaft overview, refer to => [ Crankshaft ] Description and Operation.

• Piston and connecting rod overview, refer to => [ Pistons and Connecting Rod Overview ] Service and Repair.

7 Bolt

• 60 Nm + 90° (1/4) additional turn

• Replace

8 Flywheel/Drive Plate

• Flywheel, removing and installing. Refer to => [ Flywheel ] Service and Repair.

• Drive plate, removing and installing. Refer to => [ Drive Plate ] Service and Repair.

9 Intermediate Plate

• Must be located on the alignment pins.

• Do not damage or bend when doing repair work.

10 Sealing Flange with Seal

• Only replaced as a complete unit.

• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Sealing Flange, Drive Plate/Flywheel Side ] Sealing Flange, Drive Plate/Flywheel Side.

11 Diamond Disc

• Replace
