Ribbed Belt

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Locking Pin (T10060A)

Removing

- Remove the noise insulation.

- If reinstalling the old belt, mark the direction of rotation of the belt.

With the Evaporative Emission (EVAP) Canister in the Engine Compartment

- Detach the EVAP canister and put aside.

Continuation for All

- Rotate the belt tensioner in the - direction of the arrow - to release tension on the ribbed belt.





- Secure the tensioner using (T10060A).





- Remove the ribbed belt.

Installing

- Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal, noting the following:

If reinstalling the old belt, note the previously marked direction of belt rotation and be sure that it is seated correctly on the pulleys.

Lastly, install the ribbed belt on the Air Conditioning (A/C) compressor.

When finished, always perform the following work:

- Start the engine and check the belt running.
