- Riveted to lower clamp at factory
- When replacing fuel tank, lay protective plate on filler tube and rivet clamp
7 - Cable bracket
- Clipped in on protective plate
8 - 25 Nm
- Replace
9 - Fuel tank
- Support using engine/transmission jack V.A.G 1383 A when removing
10 - Lock washer
11 - Bracket for exhaust system
12 - Securing strap
- Note installation position
13 - Heat shield
14 - Supply line
- To fuel rail
- Ensure seated tightly
15 - Fuel filter
- Installation position: Arrow points in direction of flow
16 - Vacuum line
- From Leak Detection Pump (LDP) V144 to intake manifold
- Clipped in at fuel tank
- Ensure seated tightly
17 - Vent line
- From EVAP canister to evaporative emission (EVAP) canister purge regulator valve N80
- Clipped to side of fuel tank
- Ensure seated tightly
18 - Seal
- Replace
- To install, place into opening of fuel tank dry
- Lubricate with fuel only when installing flange
19 - Fuel delivery unit
- If fuel delivery unit was replaced, adapt engine control module to Fuel Pump (FP) "Guided Functions".
- Fuel pump, checking.
- Note installation position on fuel tank.
- With fuel level sensor G
- Fuel level sensor G, removing and installing.
- Clean strainer if contaminated
20 - Locking ring, 110 Nm
- Ensure seated tightly
- Use wrench T10202 for removal and installation
21 - Return line
- Blue
- Clipped to side of fuel tank
- Ensure seated tightly
22 - Cap
- Replace if damaged
23 - Fuel filler door unit
- With rubber gasket
24 - To EVAP canister
25 - Supply line
- Black
- Clipped to side of fuel tank
- Ensure seated tightly







Installation Position of Fuel Delivery Unit Flange

Marking - 3 - on the sensor points in opposite direction of travel.

Blue or blue-marked return line - 1 -.

Black supply line - 2 -
