Locating pins T10096, installing
To secure the subframe with brackets, locating pins T10096 must be installed in positions -1-, -8-, -9- and -18-, one after the other.
Note: Locating pins T10096 must only be tightened to maximum of 20 Nm, otherwise threads of locating pins may be damaged.
- Replace attachment bolts at mounting bracket, one after the other, on both sides by locating pins T10096 and tighten to 20 Nm.
Securing mounting bracket
- Replace bracket bolts one after the other with locating fixtures T10096 and tighten to 20 Nm.
Securing bracket
Position of front axle is now located.
Continue removing the stabilizer bar.
Continue removing the steering gear.
Locating pins T10096, removing
Removal is in reverse order. Make sure that locating pins T10096 are replaced by new bolts, one after the other.
- Perform road test after repair work is completed; if steering wheel is crooked while doing so, vehicle alignment must be performed.
