2 - Wastegate Bypass Regulator Valve
- Installed directly on turbocharger.
3 - Turbocharger Recirculating Valve
- Installed directly on turbocharger.
4 - Ignition Coils With Power Output Stages
- The ignition coils must be pulled out of the cylinder head using ignition coil puller T40039
5 - Engine Control Module
6 - Mechanical Single-Piston High-Pressure Pump with Fuel Pressure Regulator Valve
- Component location
7 - Fuel Pressure Regulator Valve
- Component location
8 - Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor (on Radiator)
- Passat, GTI and Eos: in the bottom radiator connection.
- Tiguan: in the coolant hose.
9 - Vacuum Diaphragm for Channel Separating Plate
- Component location.
10 - Intake Manifold Runner Control Valve
- Component location
11 - Engine Speed Sensor
- Left lower front installation location.
12 - Charge Air Pressure Sensor
- Component location.
13 - Knock Sensor Electrical Connector
- Installed location beneath intake manifold.
- Tightening Specification: 20 Nm
14 - Camshaft Position Sensor 2 Electrical Connector
- Installed location beneath intake manifold.
15 - Fuel Injector 8-Pin Harness Connector
- Installed location beneath intake manifold.
16 - Throttle Valve Control Module
- With throttle valve control module throttle drive (for electronic power control), throttle drive angle sensor 1 (for electronic power control) and throttle drive angle sensor 2 (for electronic power control)
- After replacing the throttle valve control module, it must be adapted to the ECM.
17 - EVAP Canister Purge Regulator Valve
18 - Intake Air Temperature Sensor
- Bolted to the intake manifold at the front.
19 - Knock Sensor
- On front cylinder block under the intake manifold
- Tightening Specification: 20 Nm
20 - Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor
- In coolant pump housing.
21 - Camshaft Position Sensor
- Bolted on front cylinder head cover
22 - Fuel Pressure Sensor
- On fuel rail.
23 - Intake Manifold Runner Position Sensor G336
- In intake manifold on the right
24 - Oil Pressure Switch
- In accessory assembly bracket.

A - Data Link Connector
- In driver side footwell
B - Mass Air Flow Sensor and Intake Air Temperature Sensor 2
- Component location.
C - Throttle Position Sensor and Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor 2
- On accelerator pedal (both sensors are stored in one housing)
- If the accelerator pedal module or engine control module is replaced in vehicles with automatic transmission, the kick-down function must be adapted.
D - Coolant Fan Control Module
- The coolant fan control module is integrated in the coolant fan.
E - Fuel Injector
- In fuel rail pipe

Components on Turbocharger

1 - Turbocharger, removing and installing.
2 - Tighten wastegate bypass regulator valve N75 to 3 Nm.
3 - Tighten turbocharger recirculating valve N249 to 7 Nm (observe installation location, next illustration)
