EVAP System Component Overview






1 Nut

6 Nm

2 Leak Detection Pump (V144)

Installed location: In the right rear wheel housing.

EVAP system schematic overview. Refer to => [ EVAP System Schematic Overview ] EVAP System Schematic Overview.

Checking the vacuum supply for the Leak Detection Pump (LDP). Refer to => [ Vacuum Supply, Checking ] Leak Detection Pump (V144) Vacuum Supply, Checking.

Removing and installing, refer to => [ ] Service and Repair.

Checking the fuel supply system for leaks. Refer to => [ Fuel System, Checking for Leaks ] Fuel System, Checking for Leaks.

Fuel system leak test. Refer to => [ Fuel System Leak Test ] Fuel System Leak Test.

3 Connector

4 Vacuum Line

To the vacuum pump.

Make sure it is secure.

5 Filler Tube

Fuel tank and attachments overview. Refer to => [ Fuel Tank and Attachments Overview ] Fuel Tank and Attachments Overview.

6 Vent Line

Behind the right rear wheel housing liner.

Make sure it is secure.

To disconnect, press the release button on the connection piece.

7 Connecting Line

Behind the right rear wheel housing liner.

Make sure it is secure.

8 Bolt

3 Nm

9 Air Filter Housing

For the LDP.

10 Vent Line

On the underbody.

Make sure it is secure.

Push in the securing ring to disconnect.

11 Vent Line

To the EVAP canister purge regulator valve 1 (N80)

Make sure it is secure.

Push in the securing ring to disconnect.

12 Spacer Sleeve

13 Cover

For the EVAP canister.

14 Bolt

8 Nm

15 EVAP Canister

Installed location: In the bottom of the spare tire wheel well.

Removing and installing, refer to => [ EVAP Canister ] Service and Repair.

16 Connecting Line

On the underbody.

Make sure it is secure.

Push in the securing ring to disconnect.

17 Connecting Hose

Make sure it is secure.

18 Bracket

For the LDP.

19 Bolt

2 Nm
