Clutch Overview
• Make sure the alignment bushings for centering the engine/transmission are installed inside the cylinder block. Install them if necessary.
• If the alignment bushing are missing, it will be difficult to shift, there will be clutch problems and the transmission may make noises (loose rattling).
1 Dual Mass Flywheel
• Make sure it fits securely on the centering pins.
• Keep the clutch lining contact surface free of grooves, oil and grease.
2 Clutch Disc
• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Clutch ] Clutch.
• Only replace together with the Self Adjusting Clutch (SAC) pressure plate.
• Installed position, refer to => [ Clutch Plate Installed Position ] Clutch.
3 SAC Pressure Plate
• SAC = "Self Adjusting Clutch"
• Only replace together with the clutch disc.
• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Clutch ] Clutch.
• Check the ends of the diaphragm spring. Refer to => [ Checking the Ends of the Diaphragm Spring ] Clutch.
• Check the spring and rivet connections. refer to => [ Checking the Spring and Rivet Connections ] Clutch.
4 Bolt
• M6 bolt - 13 Nm
• M7 bolt - 20 Nm
• Loosen and tighten in small steps and in a diagonal sequence.
