Headlamp Range Control Module (J431)


• Turn off the ignition and all electrical consumers.

• Remove the key.

• When removing and installing components in visible area (switches, covers, trim, etc.), cover by taping the areas at which a prying tool (Trim removal wedge (VAS 3409) , screwdriver) will be positioned using commercially available adhesive tape.

Removal

- Remove the instrument panel cover on the front passenger side.

- Open the securing clip - 1 - in - direction of arrow - and disconnect the connector - 2 - from the headlamp range control module (J431).






- Remove the screw - arrow - and the headlamp range control module - 1 - from the bracket - 2 -.






Installation

Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal. Note the following:

- Insert the headlamp range control module - 3 - with the tab - 2 - into the bracket - 1 -.






- Engage harness connector - 1 - by pressing securing bracket - 2 - in the - direction of the arrow -.






- Tighten the threaded connections to the tightening specification. Refer to => [ HID Headlamps Overview, through MY 09 ] HID Headlamps Overview, through MY 09.
