Antenna System

Several different model and system-dependent antenna systems are installed. Each antenna system requires specific servicing and diagnostic procedures.

Sedan - Standard radio system antenna
Sedan models use an amplified, roof-mounted mast antenna.

Convertible - Standard radio system antenna
Convertible models use an amplified antenna grid integrated into the windshield.

Sedan - Satellite Radio system antenna
On models equipped with the optional Satellite Radio, the antenna is integrated into the base of the roof-mounted mast antenna.

Convertible - Satellite Radio system antenna
On models equipped with the optional Satellite Radio, the antenna is mounted under the forward portion of the instrument panel cover.

CAUTION:
Before beginning repairs on the electrical system:
- Switch off all electrical consumers.
- Switch ignition off and remove ignition key.

Before troubleshooting or servicing, technicians must be familiar with the functions and operation specifics of the applicable standard or optional radio and associated antenna system. Always read the radio owners manual and review all notes regarding radio reception characteristics and limitations.
