Hood Assembly Overview





1 Hood

• Removing:

- Remove wiring for window washer system - 10 - and washer nozzles or disconnect on hinge.

- Disconnect gas-filled strut - 3 - from lid.

- Remove bolts - 9 - and remove hood.

• Adjusting, refer to=> [ Hood, Adjusting ]

• From January 2000, modified hood is used

2 Spacing Device

3 Gas-Filled Strut

• Removing and installing as for rear lid, refer to=> [ Gas-Filled Strut ] Rear Lid

• Venting gas, refer to=> [ Gas-Filled Strut, Venting ] Description and Operation

4 Ball Head Pin

• 21 Nm

5 Plenum Chamber Seal

• Inserted on flange

6 Clip

7 Hood Seal

8 Hinge

9 Bolt

• 23 Nm

10 Hose/Spray Nozzle

11 Stopper

• By tightening and loosening, the lid can be adjusted in height to the fenders.

• Various location on hood depending on engine version and hood version

Hood, Adjusting





- The hood can be aligned between the fenders by sliding the flap hinges in the elongated holes.

- With stop - 11 -, hood can be adjusted in height to the fenders.

- After installation or adjustment work, corrosion protection measure must be performed on hinge and bolts.
