Rear Lid Remote Release Motor Carrier

Removing

- Remove rear lid trim.

- Disconnect harness connectors - arrows -.





- Unclip operating rod - 1 - for rear lid lock.

- Pull clip - 2 - and wiring out of body hole thus releasing wiring.

- Remove bolts - 1 - and remove carrier plate - 2 - for electrical wiring.





- Remove bolts - 1 - and pull water drain hose - 3 - off carrier - 2 -.





- Pull motor carrier - 2 - off rear lid and thus off VW emblem.

- If necessary, remove emblem from upper side of rear lid.

Installing

Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal.

- Replace securing clips for electrical wiring.
