Checking dual horns




Before starting troubleshooting, battery negative terminal (-) must be securely tightened.




Prerequisite:


• S240 Fuse 40 (20A) OK



Preparation:


- Remove lower instrument panel cover
- Remove dual horn relay J4 ( production control number 204 ) from relay location 1
- Insert test adapter VW1466/3 into relay location 1
- Connect VW1466 to test adapter


Troubleshooting procedure:


- Perform test steps according to table above
- If specified value/test result is obtained, proceed to next step (test result OK)
- If specified value/test result is not obtained, use table for troubleshooting and repair
- Use valid wiring diagram for circuit testing
- Disconnect test leads after each step
