Component location: Valve body is bolted on to transmission housing below and covered by transmission oil pan.
Solenoid Valve 1 N88 and Solenoid Valve 2 N89 as well as Automatic Transmission Pressure Regulating Valve 5 N233, Solenoid Valve 4 N91, Solenoid Valve 5 N92, Solenoid Valve 6 N93, Automatic Transmission Pressure Regulating Valve 4 N218 and Automatic Transmission Pressure Regulating Valve 6 N371 are secured to the valve body.

Component location: Shift Lock Solenoid is located in the shift mechanism - arrow -.
Tiptronic Switch F189
Component location: Tiptronic Switch F189 is integrated into circuit board, which is located in shift mechanism cover.
It consists of hall sensors, which are activated by a magnet - arrow - on transverse slide of cover strip - 2 -.
If there are malfunctions, it must first be checked whether the magnet - arrow - on transverse slide of cover strip - 2 - is secured correctly, replace cover strips if necessary. Selector mechanism cover with integrated circuit board must only be replaced after checking the wires.
In vehicles with multi-function steering wheel, buttons on steering wheel and their wire connections must also be checked.
Data Link Connector (DLC)
Component location: Data Link Connector (DLC) - arrow - is located on left side under driver-side storage compartment.
