Fastener Tightening Specifications





Cylinder Head





Then tighten cylinder head bolts - 1 to 12 - in sequence shown as follows:





Then tighten bolts - 13 - 10 Nm

Replace cylinder head bolts.

Guide Frame
Gently tighten bolts from inside working toward outside in several stages.





Then tighten bolts 8 Nm in sequence indicated.
After that, continue to tighten all bolts 90 degree (1/4 turn)

Main Bearing cap
Tighten 40 Nm plus an additional 1/4 turn (90 degree)

Connecting rod bolt
Tighten 30 Nm plus an additional 1/4 turn (90 degree)

Belt pulley/vibration damper
Strength category 12.9:
Tighten 70 Nm

Strength category 10.9:
Tighten 50 Nm plus an additional 1/4 turn (90 degree)

Drive plate/flywheel
Tighten 60 Nm plus an additional 1/4 turn (90 degree)

Oil pump
Tighten 25 Nm

Coolant Pump
Coolant pump to cylinder block 10 Nm
