Service
The following steps are to be taken to correct condition:

^ Correct any faults stored in EPB and or ABS before performing the basic settings of the EPB.

^ Verify the EPB is not engaged.

Tip:

For MY 2006, 2007 check if the EPB is set by observing MVB 12.2.
For MY 2008, 2009 observe MVB 7.4.

Reset EPB by performing the following:

^ Switch OFF ignition.

^ Disconnect battery.

^ Wait at least 5 minutes before reconnecting battery.

^ Switch ON ignition.

^ While applying brake pedal, operate EPB switch two cycles (ON-OFF).

Tip:
Allow 30 seconds between each EPB switch selection to allow the parking brake to react.

Once EPB switch cycles have been completed:

^ Read and clear fault memory.

Tip:
At this point, if unable to perform basic settings procedure, contact technical assistance by selecting the "Technical Assistance" tab in ElsaWeb and follow the instructions to obtain a 6 digit access code.
