Transmission, Installing, 2.0L
Installation is performed in reverse order of removal in general, however the following notes should be observed.
- Check whether alignment bushings are pressed in on engine flange.
- Check seating of intermediate plate (engine/transmission). Plate must touch engine along entire perimeter when pressing lightly against engine using both hands. If it stands off above the engine, it is not hooked in correctly behind drive plate.
Engine and transmission should be engaged without tension in subframe mount.
Tightening specifications => [ Selector Lever in Position and Ignition Switched On ] Testing and Inspection.
- Replace all left assembly mounting bolts.
- First screw in all new bolts by hand.
When installing, bolt bracket to transmission first to 40 Nm plus an additional 90°.
When tightening both bracket bolts to vehicle, the old seat of the bolts can be adjusted between both bolts using a screwdriver. These two larger bolts are tightened to 60 Nm plus an additional 90°.
- Replace sealing rings on ATF lines.
- Tighten ATF lines on transmission => [ Automatic Transmission Fluid Lines, Cooler and Auxiliary Cooler Overview ] Service and Repair.
- Tighten both line retainers => [ Automatic Transmission Fluid Lines, Cooler and Auxiliary Cooler Overview ] Service and Repair.
- Adjust selector lever cable => [ Selector Lever Cable, Adjusting ] Adjustments.
- Check ATF level after installing => [ ATF Level, Checking ] Testing and Inspection.
- Perform basic setting. To do so
- Connect Diagnostic operation system (VAS 5051) and then select "performing basic setting" under Guided Functions.
