Output Shaft, 5th/6th and Reverse Gears Overview

• If the output shaft or tapered roller bearings are replaced, an adjustment on the output shaft must be performed. Refer to => [ Output Shaft, 5th, 6th and Reverse Gears, Adjusting ] Output Shaft, 5th, 6th and Reverse Gears, Adjusting.

• Always replace both tapered roller bearings together as a set.





1 Clutch Housing

2 Washer

• Always 0.65 mm thick.

3 Outer Race/Tapered Roller Bearing

• Pulling out, refer to => [ Removing the Outer Race/Tapered
Roller Bearing from the Clutch Housing ] Output Shaft, 5th, 6th and Reverse Gears.

• Installing, refer to => [ Pressing Outer Race/Tapered
Roller Bearing into Clutch Housing ] Output Shaft, 5th, 6th and Reverse Gears.

4 Inner Race/Tapered Roller Bearing

• Pulling off, refer to => [ Removing the Inner Race/Tapered
Roller Bearing on the Side of the Clutch Housing ] Output Shaft, 5th, 6th and Reverse Gears.

• Pressing on, refer to => [ Installing the Inner

5 Output Shaft

• For 5th/6th and reverse gears.

6 Synchronizer Hub for Reverse Gear

• Pressing off, refer to => [ Pressing off Synchronizer

8 Locking Collar for Reverse Gear

• With synchronizer ring.

9 Needle Bearing

• For the reverse gear wheel.

10 Reverse Gear Wheel

11 Sleeve

• Pressing off over the reverse gear selector gear, refer to => [ Pressing off Sleeve over Reverse Gear Selector Gear ] Output Shaft, 5th, 6th and Reverse Gears.

• Installed position: the wider collar on sleeve points toward reverse gear selector gear.

• For the 6th gear.

15 Synchronizer Ring for 6th Gear

• Checking for wear, refer to => [ Checking Synchronizer

16 Locking Sleeve with Synchronizer Hub for 5th and 6th Gears

• After removing circlip - item 17 -, press off with selector gear for 6th gear. Refer to => [ Pressing off Synchronizer

22 Securing Ring

23 Outer Race/Tapered Roller Bearing
