Rear Window Wiper Motor

CAUTION!
When disconnecting and connecting the battery, always perform the work procedure as described in the repair information. Refer to => [ Battery, Disconnecting and Connecting ] Battery, Disconnecting and Connecting.

Removing:

The wiper arm must be removed before removing rear window wiper motor. Refer to=> [ Rear Window Wiper Arm ] Rear Window Wiper Arm.

- Disconnect battery. Refer to => [ Battery, Disconnecting and Connecting ] Battery, Disconnecting and Connecting.

- Remove lower rear lid trim.

- Disengage and disconnect harness connector - 1 -.





- Disengage hose connection - 2 - by pulling up circlip and disconnect hose from connection on rear wiper motor.

- Remove the hex nuts - arrows -.

- Carefully remove the motor from the rear lid.

Installing:

Install in reverse order of removal, noting the following:

- Before installing rear window wiper motor, coat inner side of rear window seal with water-soluble lubricant (e.g. polyethylene glycol) if necessary.

- Check seal for correct fitting in rear window opening. Marking - 1 - of seal must align with marking - 2 - on rear window.





- Reconnect battery. Refer to => [ Battery, Disconnecting and Connecting ] Battery, Disconnecting and Connecting.
