Fastener Tightening Specifications





Cylinder Head Bolt Tightening Sequence and Specifications





Tighten cylinder head bolts in specified sequence, starting from inside and working toward outside, as follows:
Pre tighten all the bolts 15 Nm
Then tighten all the bolts 30 Nm
Tighten all bolts (1/2 turn) (180 degree) further.

Replace cylinder head bolts.


Intake manifold
Intake manifold to cylinder head 8 Nm
Intake manifold to support 20 Nm





A - Intake Camshaft
- Tighten bearing caps 5 and 9 alternating in diagonal sequence and tighten to 5 Nm + 1/8 additional turn (45 degree).
- Install bearing caps 1 and 13 and tighten to 5 Nm and 1/8 turn (45 degree).
- Install bearing cap 7 and tighten to 5 Nm and 1/8 turn (45 degree).
- Install bearing caps 3 and 11 and likewise tighten to 5 Nm and 1/8 turn (45 degree).





B - Exhaust Camshaft
- Tighten bearing caps 6 and 10 alternating in diagonal sequence and tighten to 5 Nm + 1/8 additional turn (45 degree).
- Install bearing caps 2 and 14 and tighten to 5 Nm and 1/8 turn (45 degree).
- Install bearing cap 8 and tighten to 5 Nm and 1/8 turn (45 degree).
- Install bearing caps 4 and 12 and likewise tighten to 5 Nm and 1/8 turn (45 degree).

Bearing cap
Tighten 30 Nm + 1/2 turn (180 degree)

2 x 90 degrees further turns is permitted

Connecting rod bolts
Tighten 30 Nm + 1/4 turn (90 degree)

Vibration Damper
Tighten 100 Nm + 1/2 turn (180 degree)

Drive Plate
For specifications, refer to the service procedure. Drive Plate

Oil Pump
Tightening Specifications 8 Nm

Coolant pump
Coolant pump bolt 8 Nm
