4 - From lower reservoir
5 - 10 Nm
6 - To upper reservoir
7 - From Engine Coolant (EC) switch-off valve (heater) N279
^ Only vehicles with optional equipment

8 - 10 Nm
9 - To Engine Coolant (EC) switch-off valve (heater) N279
^ Only vehicles with optional equipment

10 - To heat exchanger
11 - From transmission oil cooler
12 - To transmission oil cooler
13 - 8 Nm
14 - Coolant thermostat housing

15 - Bracket
16 - O-ring
^ Replace

17 - Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor (on radiator) G83
18 - Retaining clip
^ Check for secure seat

19 - From lower radiator
20 - To upper radiator
21 - O-ring
^ Replace

22 - Oil filter bracket
^ With oil cooler

23 - 23 Nm
24 - Coolant line
^ To coolant regulator housing

25 - After-run coolant pump V51
^ Tightened to 8 Nm on the accessory bracket

26 - Coolant pump
^ Check for ease of movement

27 - Pulley
^ For coolant pump

28 - 20 Nm
29 - 8 Nm





Location of After-Run Coolant Pump V51
The after-run coolant pump V51 is secured to the accessory bracket - arrow -.

- To remove, accessory bracket must be removed from cylinder block.

Tightening Sequence for Accessory Bracket
- First tighten bolt fitting bolts - 2 - and - 4 - by hand.
- Then tighten bolts - 1 -, - 3 - and - 5 - by hand.
- Then tighten all bolts uniformly and in diagonal sequence.
- Tightening specification: 23 Nm
