Radiator Cooling Fan: Service and Repair

Fan Shroud and Fans

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Torque wrench (5-50 Nm) (VAG 1331)

Removing

- Remove the noise insulation.

- Unclip the coolant hose from the fan shroud.

- Remove the air duct from air filter. Refer to => [ Air Filter Assembly Overview ] Removal and Replacement.

- Disconnect the electrical connectors - 1 - and remove the fan shroud bolts - arrows -.





- Remove the fan shroud with fans.

- Disconnect the electrical connector - 1 - and lay the wires free.





- Remove the fan nuts - arrows - and remove the fans.

Installing

Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal, noting the following:
