Ribbed Belt
Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required
• Connecting pin (T10027)
Removing
- Remove the noise insulation.
- Mark the running direction of ribbed belt before removing.
- Install a wrench - 1 - onto the belt tensioner bolt and rotate in the - direction of the arrow - far enough until the (T10027) can be inserted to the belt tensioner.
- Remove the ribbed belt.
Installing
• Before installing the ribbed belt, make sure that all accessories (generator, Air Conditioning (A/C) compressor, etc. ) are secured tightly.
• Check the idler pulleys for ease of movement
• Ribbed belt must not be kinked.
• Note the previously marked direction of belt rotation and be sure that it is seated correctly on the pulleys.
- Install the ribbed belt as shown.
- Install the wrench - 1 - onto the belt tensioner bolt and rotate in the - direction of the arrow - far enough until the (T10027) can be remove from the belt tensioner.
After completing the repairs always:
- Start the engine and check the belt running.
