Ribbed Belt

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Connecting pin (T10027)

Removing

- Remove the noise insulation.

- Mark the running direction of ribbed belt before removing.

- Install a wrench - 1 - onto the belt tensioner bolt and rotate in the - direction of the arrow - far enough until the (T10027) can be inserted to the belt tensioner.





- Remove the ribbed belt.

Installing

Before installing the ribbed belt, make sure that all accessories (generator, Air Conditioning (A/C) compressor, etc. ) are secured tightly.

Check the idler pulleys for ease of movement

Ribbed belt must not be kinked.

Note the previously marked direction of belt rotation and be sure that it is seated correctly on the pulleys.

- Install the ribbed belt as shown.

- Install the wrench - 1 - onto the belt tensioner bolt and rotate in the - direction of the arrow - far enough until the (T10027) can be remove from the belt tensioner.





After completing the repairs always:

- Start the engine and check the belt running.
