Fuel Level Sensor

• Phased-in introduction of fuel delivery units with a changed fuel level sensor.

Removing, Old Version

- Remove the fuel delivery unit. Refer to => [ Fuel Delivery Unit ] Fuel Delivery Unit.

- Release the connectors - arrows - and remove the wires - 1, 2 and 3 -.





- Lift the retaining tabs - 4 and 5 - with a screwdriver and pull the fuel level sensor downward and off - arrow -.

Installing, Old Version

- Install the fuel level sensor into the guides of the fuel delivery unit and press up until engagement.

- Connect the connector and check for secure locking.

- Install the fuel delivery unit. Refer to => [ Fuel Delivery Unit ] Fuel Delivery Unit.

Removing, New Version

- Remove the fuel delivery unit. Refer to => [ Fuel Delivery Unit ] Fuel Delivery Unit.

- Pull the fuel level sensor slightly to the side and simultaneously upward.





- Disengage the electrical connectors - 1 through 3 - and disconnect them.





Installing

- Connect the connectors - 1 through 3 - and make sure they are locked.





- Insert the fuel level sensor into the guide on the fuel delivery unit and press down until engagement.

- Install the fuel delivery unit. Refer to => [ Fuel Delivery Unit ] Fuel Delivery Unit.
