Steering Gear, Generation 2 and Generation 3 Differences
As of MY 2009 steering gear generation 3 is being installed. It replaces generation 2.
With the steering gear installed, the way to determine the difference is to count the number of bolts which connect the steering gear to the subframe.
- Raise vehicle.
Generation 2 is connected to the subframe with 4 bolts and generation 3 is connected with 3 bolts.
